Jorge Koechlin von Stein (born February 12, 1950 Huacho, Peru) is a former racing driver and magazine publisher. Koechlin began racing professionally in Formula Ford Colchester Racing Developments, Merlyn Mk20A, and then in a works Elden Mk8C making his debut on a self built car F3 Elden at Thruxton 1974 in the British F3 Championship, European Formula Renault Europe in 1975 in a works Lola run by Mader Racing out of Switzerland, racing against Didier Pironi, René Arnoux, Jean-Louis Schlesser, then made starts in various European Formula Three series in 1977 with little success around the top 10. Huacho
Huacho () is a city in Peru, capital of the Huaura Province and capital of the Lima Region. Also is the most populated city of the Lima Region and Norte Chico civilization, Norte Chico. It is located 223 feet (68 metres) above sea level and 148 km north of the city of Lima. The city is located on the Pan-American Highway and it is close to the Lachay National Reserve, so it has extensive vegetation and wildlife. The Indianapolis 500, formally known as the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, and commonly shortened to Indy 500, is an annual automobile race held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, United States, an enclave suburb of Indianapolis. Laguna Seca Raceway
Laguna Seca Raceway (branded as WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and previously Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for sponsorship reasons) is a paved road racing track in central California used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, built in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, United States. The racetrack is long, with a elevation change. Its eleven turns are highlighted by the circuit's signature turn, the downhill-plunging "Corkscrew" at Turns 8 and 8A.
