Jorge De Cárdenas Y Manrique De Lara, 4th Duke Of Maqueda
Jorge de Cárdenas y Manrique de Lara (April 23, 1584 – October 30, 1644), 4th Duke of Maqueda and 6th Duke of Nájera, was a Spanish noble, military and statesman, born in Elche. He was the son of Bernardino de Cárdenas y Portugal, 3rd Duke of Maqueda, 2nd Marquis of Elche, and of Luisa Manrique de Lara, 5th Duchess of Nájera. He inherited the titles of his father in 1601, and also the title of Duke of Nájera, which was held by his mother. He was a Grandee of Spain. Jorge de Cárdenas Plá (2 November 1933 – 15 February 1989) was a Cuban Olympic sailor. Biography De Cárdenas was born in Havana, Cuba on 2 November 1933. He competed in three Olympic Games in the Finn and Star classes, in 1952 he finished 24th in the Finn class, in 1956 he finished 6th in the Star class crewing for his father Carlos de Cárdenas Culmell and in 1960 he finished 13th in the Star class together with his brother Carlos de Cárdenas Plá. He won a silver medal at the 1955 Star World Championships and a bronze medal at the 1956 edition. Jorge Luis Mendoza Cárdenas, commonly referred to by his alias La Garra ('The Claw'), is a Mexican suspected drug lord and high-ranking leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. Security forces suspect that La Garra heads the drug trafficking operations for the CJNG in the United States under Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (alias "El Mencho"), the top leader of the criminal group. La Garra reportedly coordinates marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine shipments to Los Angeles, San Jose, Atlanta, and New York City from Mexico. Unlike his counterparts, few details are known of his criminal background. In 2008, he was arrested for his alleged participation in the murder of a family of six in Jalisco.
