	Jonoob Ahvaz F.C. Jonoob Ahvaz Football Club () was an Iranian football club based in Ahvaz, Iran. The club was founded in 1973 and it was one of the most well-known clubs of Khuzestan in the early 1990s. Jonoob Ahvaz F.C. participated in the highest division of Iranian football league during the 1990s and was among the top clubs of the national league for 6 consecutive years. Jonoob made it to the Hazfi Cup final match in the season 1993–94 but was defeated by Saipa F.C. in the final. In the following years they were given a slot from Iranian football federation to attend in 1994–95 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. Jonoob was eliminated in the quarter final stage in the tournament. During the mid-1990s the club encountered financial problems and lack of financial resources made the club relegated to Iran Football's 2nd Division. 	Takhti Stadium (Ahvaz) The Takhti Stadium of Ahvaz () is a multi-purpose stadium in Ahvaz, Iran. It is currently used mostly for football and rugby matches. The stadium is able to hold 15,000 people. It is currently home venue of Esteghlal Ahvaz. History The stadium was built in 1978, there have been many disputes as to the name of Takhti Stadium. The stadium had been the home of both Esteghlal Ahvaz and Foolad in past years. Foolad was relegated in 2007, they were as such not allowed to play all the matches in this stadium. In 2013 Foolad permanently moved to a much bigger Ghadir Stadium. The stadium was renovated in summer 2012 and then, Esteghlal Khuzestan purchased its rights with a contract until 2014. 	Iran Football's 2nd Division Iranian football's 2nd division () is the third-highest football (soccer), football division overall in the Iranian football league system. Before 2001, the 2nd division league was the second-highest division in the national football league system. However, it was changed to third-highest division when Iran's football structure officially became professional. The league consists of two, 14-team groups who play each other twice in a home and away format. The first- and second-placed teams in each group are automatically promoted to the Azadegan League. The bottom two teams in both groups are automatically relegated to the Iran Football's 3rd Division, 3rd division. If teams in the promotion or relegation spots are tied in terms of points, a home and away series will be played. The team with the best aggregate score will either avoid relegation or win promotion.
