Kungsbacka
Kungsbacka () is a urban areas of Sweden, locality and the seat of Kungsbacka Municipality in Halland County, Sweden, with 19,057 inhabitants in 2010. It is a part of Greater Gothenburg Metropolitan Area. It is one of the most affluent parts of Sweden, in part due to its simultaneous proximity to the countryside and the large city of Gothenburg. Motorcycle trials, also known as observed trials, often called simply trial or trials, is a non-speed event on specialized motorcycles. The sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, though there are participants around the globe. Modern trials motorcycles are distinctive in that they have evolved to become extremely lightweight, lack seating (they are designed to be ridden standing up) and have suspension travel that is short, relative to a motocross or enduro motorcycle. Motorcycle trials is often utilized by competitors in other motorcycle sports (such as enduro, motocross or road racers) as a way to cross-train, as trials requires fine throttle, balance, and machine control. Bernie Schreiber
Bernard Schreiber (born January 20, 1959), is an American former international motorcycle trials rider. He became the only American to win the FIM Trial World Championship in 1979. Schreiber is also four-time winner of the NATC Trials Championship, winning the title in 1978, 1982, 1983 and 1987. In 2000 he was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame and, in 2020 he was named an FIM Legend. Biography Born in Los Angeles, California, Schreiber started competing in trials at the age of 10 in 1969. Within a few years he had established himself as a top contender in Southern California and began competing in the FIM Trial World Championship in 1977 at 17 years of age. NATC Trials Championship
The North American Trials Council Championship is the official US National Trials Championship and has been held since 1974. History In 1974 The NATC joined forces with the AMA and put together a nine-round series as the US National Trials Championship. Lane Leavitt showed his class by winning five of the eight rounds he competed in. In second place was up and coming star Marland Whaley on the Montesa with early series leader Don Sweet bringing his Yamaha home in third. Factory Honda rider Marland Whaley stomped all over the championship in 1977 taking eight wins from eight starts, leaving the rest to fight it out for second spot. FIM Trial European Championship
The FIM Trials European Championship is organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and has been held since 1992. The championship gives up and coming riders a chance to compete at international level against top class riders, many who have progressed to become champions in the FIM Trial World Championship such as current champion Toni Bou and past champions Dougie Lampkin and Adam Raga History The Inaugural championship was held in 1992 with a single class format. The FIM Trial World Championship and FIM X-Trial World Championship are the most prestigious motorcycle trials tournaments of the world, organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme. The outdoor championship is held since 1964 and the indoor (X-Trial) since 1993. From 1964 to 1967 the championship was named Challenge Henry Groutars. From 1968 to 1974, it was the Trial European Championship, and from 1975 onwards it has been known as the World Championship. Up until 2010, the outdoor world trial championship has been won by 6 different pilots from the UK, 5 from Spain, 2 from Finland and France, and 1 from Belgium, Germany, United States, Japan and Sweden.
