Jonathon Milne
Jonathon Milne is an Australian Paralympic archer. In April 2015 he won the National Para Championships, held in Melbourne. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics where he won a bronze medal. Milne qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics but failed to win a medal. Personal Jonathon Milne was born on 25 January 1986. On 23 December 2012, while swimming with his wife Sarah at Avoca Beach on the New South Wales Central Coast, Milne broke his neck diving into the ocean, leaving him paralysed from the chest down. Sarah dragged him to shore. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He spent the next five and a half months there and the Royal Rehabilitation Hospital in Ryde. He completed a Certificate III in carpentry at TAFE in 2012, but now works full-time at the Abbey Archery store in Castle Hill, New South Wales. Andre Shelby
Andre C. Shelby (born December 8, 1966) is a U.S. Paralympic archer and Paralympic and Parapan champion. Shelby was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1966 to Lee and Etta Shelby. He graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1985. At Jeffersonville, Shelby played football and basketball. Shelby served in the United States Navy for 18 years until an April 2004 motorcycle accident made him reliant on a wheelchair and forced him to retire. Shelby had worked as a boatswain's mate and helped transport troops during the Gulf War. Shelby discovered archery in 2008. He qualified for the 2016 Summer Paralympics by winning gold at the 2015 Parapan American Games. Ian Anthony Trewhella, AM is an Australian Paralympic medallist in athletics and archery, who has won four medals at two Paralaympics. Personal In 1961, Trewhella became a quadriplegic due to an illness. He worked in the Australian Public Service for 27 years, 17 years of which was with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. In 1984, he established the Wheelchair Factory in Canberra. He has been an advocate for people with a disability in Canberra and surrounding regions, having served on the boards and committees of many disability-related organisations. He provides advice to health professions and families on people living with quadriplegia. In 1992, he became a Member of the Order of Australia due to volunteer service to people with disabilities in the fields of sport, recreation and welfare.
