Jonathan Torres, also known as "JT" Torres, is an American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and submission grappler. He is known for a number of competitive accomplishments earned both prior to and following his promotion to black belt. Though having won numerous victories in gi competition, Torres has been particularly successful in no-gi events, earning multiple international championships. Early life and background Jonathan Torres was born on September 2, 1989, in New York, United States, of Puerto Rican descent. In March 2013, Torres left Team Lloyd Irvin and joined Atos Jiu-Jitsu. He began his martial arts journey at a young age with karate, achieving a black belt before high school. The ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship is an international submission wrestling, submission grappling competition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC). André Luiz Leite Galvão (; born September 29, 1982) is a Brazilian grappler and professional mixed martial artist. A 4th degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Fernando "Tererê" Augusto as well as a judo black belt, Galvão is one of the most decorated BJJ athletes ever, having won most major international tournaments multiple times. Metamoris is a defunct submission grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu promotion, founded by Ralek Gracie, and executive producer Eddie Marquez that organized events in Los Angeles, California. Live events of Metamoris were broadcast via internet pay-per-view around the world and via premium TV at Canal Combate in Brazil. Rory MacDonald (born July 22, 1989) is a Canadian former mixed martial artist who most recently competed in the welterweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Lloyd Irvin Jr. is a mixed martial arts (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt practitioner and coach. The founder of Team Lloyd Irvin, the first non-Brazilian team to take a world team title, he is the head coach to several champion grapplers.
