Jonathan Ruffin
Jonathan Ruffin (born August 1, 1981) is an American former football placekicker who played three seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats, where he won the Lou Groza Award and was recognized as an All-American. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2003, and he played for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe and the New Orleans VooDoo of the AFL. College career Ruffin attended the University of Cincinnati, where he played for the Cincinnati Bearcats football team from 1999 to 2002. As a sophomore in 2000, he earned recognition as a consensus first-team All-American, and won the Lou Groza Award as the outstanding college placekicker in America. Placekicker
In gridiron football, the placekicker (PK), or simply kicker (K), is the player responsible for attempts at scoring Field goal (football), field goals and extra points. In most cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist.
