Jonathan Johnson (runner)
Jonathan Johnson (born March 5, 1982) is an American middle-distance runner who specialized in the 800 metres. He is an " Abilene native". He made his collegiate breakthrough during his first year running for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, in 2002. Indoors, he finished second in the Big 12 Conference Championship and sixth in the 2002 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships; and outdoors he won the Big 12 Conference Championship in Columbia and finished fourth at the 2002 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. In 2003 he barely ran indoors, but outdoors he won both the Big 12 Conference Championshisp and the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, before winning the silver medal at the 2003 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the bronze medal at the 2003 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Middle-distance running events are track races longer than sprints, up to 3000 metres. The standard middle distances are the 800 metres, 1500 metres and mile run, although the 3000 metres may also be classified as a middle-distance event. 2005 USA Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The 2005 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships was organised by USA Track & Field and held from June 23 to 26 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The four-day competition served as the national championships in track and field for the United States and also the trials for the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. It was the first that the stadium in Carson had held the combined gender national track and field event, but the fourth straight time that the event was hosted in California, having previously been to Sacramento and Palo Alto. The Home Depot Center launched the Adidas Track Classic earlier that year, which was briefly a prominent annual track meeting for American athletes. 2010 USA Indoor Track And Field Championships
The 2010 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships was held at Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Organized by USA Track and Field (USATF), the two-day competition took place February 27–28 and served as the national championships in indoor track and field for the United States. The championships in combined track and field events were held two weeks later from March 6–7 at Gladstein Fieldhouse at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana. The competition served as the selection meet for the United States team for the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, held in Doha, Qatar. Heusden-Zolder (; li, Heuze-Zolder ) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg near Hasselt. On 1 January 2006 Heusden-Zolder had a total population of 30,769.
