Jon Quick
Jonathan Douglas Quick (born January 21, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Quick was selected in the third round, 72nd overall, by the Los Angeles Kings at the 2005 NHL entry draft. Quick is a two-time Vezina Trophy nominee and William M. Jennings Trophy winner and was a silver medalist with the United States men's national ice hockey team, United States at the Ice hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics – Men's tournament, 2010 Winter Olympics. New York Rangers
The New York Rangers are a professional ice hockey team based in New York City. Hockey East
The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Hockey East came into existence in 1984 for men's hockey when most of its current members split from what is today known as ECAC Hockey, after disagreements with the Ivy League members. The women's league began play in 2002. UMass Minutemen Ice Hockey
The UMass Minutemen Ice Hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I men's college ice hockey program that represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Avon Old Farms
Avon Old Farms School is a boarding school for boys located in Avon, Connecticut, United States. Theodate Pope Riddle, one of America's first female architects, founded the school in 1927. History The school's conception dates to a few years before 1918 when Riddle purchased of land on which to build it. Together with the architect Charles A. Platt, she toured several boys' schools in New England, including Andover, Groton School, Hotchkiss School, Middlesex School, Pomfret School, St. Mark's School, and St. Paul's School, but as she wrote to a friend, "They all illustrate exceedingly well the things I wish to avoid." Hamden High School
Hamden High School is a four-year high school for grades 9 through 12. It is located at 2040 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, Connecticut. It is part of the Hamden Public School System and is the only public high school within the town of Hamden. The school was built in 1935 and is still in operation today, although it has gone through numerous renovations. Most recent was the removal of previous additions along with part of the original building, and the addition of 3 additional wings, all of which are attached to the original front wing to form a square. One of its most notable features is a golden cupola atop a clock tower, at the front of the building. Below the clock tower sits a small circular window, with two draping plaster banners on the sides seeming to form the letter 'M,' and giving the building the nickname "the MOM building." Cameron Thomas Atkinson (born June 5, 1989) is an American professional ice hockey right winger for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Joey Sides
Joey Sides is an American former professional ice hockey player. During his journeyman career in various minor leagues in both the USA and Europe, he is one the first hockey players ever to wear a GoPro camera during a professional game. He also participated in the first professional ice hockey game at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York (where the Miracle on Ice took place). Playing career Sides attended Wentworth Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2009 where he played NCAA Division III college hockey. Sean Backman (born April 29, 1986) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He most notably played in the American Hockey League (AHL) and with Eisbären Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Sean Backman played high school hockey at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut. Backman began his junior career playing for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL. He went on to play ECAC Hockey for Yale University, where he scored 126 points in 122 games during his four-year Yale career. Minor ice hockey or minor hockey is an umbrella term for amateur ice hockey which is played below the junior age level. Players are classified by age, with each age group playing in its own league.
