Jon Potter
Jonathan Nicholas Mark Potter (born 19 November 1963) is a former field hockey player who was a member of the gold-winning Great Britain squad at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. After his playing career he became the managing director of House of Suntory and Maison Courvoisier at Suntory Global Spirits. Biography Potter was born in Paddington, Greater London, in an Anglo-Indian family and brought up in Slough, England. He attended Burnham Grammar School from 1976 to 1982, and represented England Schoolboys at field hockey. Potter graduated from Southampton University in 1986 with a BA (Hons) in geography, and attended Aston Business School (1986–87) to obtain his MBA. Potter represented Great Britain and England in field hockey. He competed in three Olympic Games, earning a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Paddington
Paddington is an area in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. Jason Laslett
Jason George Laslett (born 1 July 1969) is a former international field hockey player who competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1996 Summer Olympics. Biography Laslett was born in Canterbury, Kent. He was educated at Millfield School. He made his England U18 debut in April 1986, while at Millfield and Canterbury Hockey Club. He left Canterbury to play club hockey for Teddington Hockey Club in the Men's England Hockey League for the 1988/89 season. He would go on to win the league title in 1995 and the Hockey Association Cup twice in 1994 and 1996. He made his Great Britain debut during the June 1990 BMW Trophy tournament in Amsterdam. Laslett won the Hockey Writers UK Player of the Year Award in 1991 and the National League Player of the Year Award for the 1990–91 season. England Hockey is the Sports governing body, national governing body for the sport of field hockey in England. There are separate governing bodies for the sport in the other parts of the United Kingdom. History and organisation England Hockey was formed on 1 January 2003 to replace the English Hockey Association (EHA) which had had to suspend operations in 2002 because of significant financial problems. Richard Leman
Richard Alexander Leman (born 13 July 1959) is a former field hockey player who was a member of the gold medal-winning Great Britain squad in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Biography Leman was born in East Grinstead, West Sussex. Between 1973 and 1977, he was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, where he played in the school's 1st XI hockey team and Captained the 1st XI cricket team and had England Schoolboy trials for both sports. He played club hockey for East Grinstead Hockey Club in the Men's England Hockey League and played in the 1982 Men's Hockey World Cup and won a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The Men's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organised by England Hockey that features men's teams from England and Wales. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of twelve teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten-team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April.
