Jon Heggedal
Jon Heggedal (born December 23, 1935) is a Norwegian stage director and actor. Heggedal was born in Oslo. He made his stage debut in 1960 as Henrik in Ludvig Holberg's ''The Political Tinker'' at the Trøndelag Theater. Heggedal worked as an actor there until 1963, and then he performed at the Oslo new Theater from 1964 to 1966, and for NRK's Television Theater from 1969 to 1975. He started working as a stage director in 1972 and he has been a freelance director since then. Among other roles, Heggedal played the Dauphin in George Bernard Shaw's '' Saint Joan'', David in Johan Falkberget's '' Den fjerde nattevakt'' (arranged for theater by Carl Fredrik Engelstad), and the title role in Friedrich Schiller's ''Don Carlos''. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken. Carl Fredrik Engelstad
Carl Johan Fredrik Engelstad (11 November 1915 – 1 October 1996) was a Norwegian writer, playwright, journalist, translator and theatre director. Personal life Engelstad was born in Hadsel as the son of jurist Sigurd Engelstad (1878–1916) and younger brother of archivist Sigurd Engelstad. He married Vibeke Engelstad, a physician. Their son Fredrik became a professor of sociology, and married professor Irene Johnson. Career Carl Fredrik Engelstad was hired as a theatre critic in ''Morgenbladet'' in 1945. He stayed here until 1960, the last two years as cultural editor. He was theatre director for Nationaltheatret from 1960 to 1961, and from 1965 he worked in ''Aftenposten''. He was known for writing from a Christian viewpoint. From 1946 to 1949 he also edited the periodical '' Spektrum''. He debuted as a writer in 1949, with two plays. The theatre was founded in 1912, after an initiative from Hulda Garborg and Edvard Drabløs. The Caretaker
''The Caretaker'' is a play in three acts by Harold Pinter. Although it was the sixth of his major works for stage and television, this psychological study of the confluence of power, allegiance, innocence, and corruption among two brothers and a tramp, became Pinter's first significant commercial success. It premiered at the Arts Theatre Club in London's West End on 27 April 1960 and transferred to the Duchess Theatre the following month, where it ran for 444 performances before departing London for Broadway. In 1963, a film version of the play based on Pinter's unpublished screenplay was directed by Clive Donner. Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller (, short: ; 10 November 17599 May 1805) was a German playwright, poet, and philosopher.
