Jon Garrett
Jon Garrett (born May 8, 1970) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 66 Chevrolet for Veer Motorsports. Racing career ARCA Menards Series Garrett made his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2022 for Fast Track Racing in the General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway, where he would finish 22nd. He would make two more starts that year, getting a best finish of tenth at Kansas Speedway. In 2023, it was announced that Garrett would run full-time in the No. 66 Chevrolet for Veer Motorsports in partnership with Fast Track Racing. The 2022 General Tire Delivers 200 was the tenth stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 37th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, July 22, 2022, in Long Pond, Pennsylvania at Pocono Raceway, a 2.5 mile (4.0 km) permanent triangular-shaped racetrack. The race was decreased from 80 laps to 64 laps, due to increasing darkness. Taylor Gray, driving for David Gilliland Racing, would win the race, after leading the race when the final caution came out with 16 laps to go, which was a spin from Jesse Love. Gray would also lead 38 laps. This was Gray's third career ARCA Menards Series, and his third of the season. The Dawn 150 was an ARCA Menards Series race held at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois. It was originally 201 miles until 2008, but was shortened to 150 miles the next year. It has supported NASCAR Truck Series Overton's 225 in 2009, 2010 and 2012 and since 2016 the NASCAR Cup Series Overton's 400. History The ARCA Permatex SuperCar Series (now known as the ARCA Menards Series), ran its inaugural race at the track in 1986. It then was off the schedule for a dozen years. The General Tire 150 is a annual ARCA Menards Series race held at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The inaugural event was held on May 18, 1996 and was won by Tim Steele. The race was originally held during the month of May between 1996 and 2004, after which it was removed from the calendar. The race returned to the series in 2018 and has remained since. History ARCA previously ran at Charlotte Motor Speedway from 1996 to 2004. In 1996 and 1997, the series ran three times at the speedway: twice in May and once in either late September or early October. The Dawn 150 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Kansas Speedway. It is one of two races the series has at the track, the other being the Kansas Lottery 150 in September. The race was added to the schedule in 2020 after the cancellation of the race at Chicagoland Speedway due to COVID-19 regulations in Illinois. It then became a permanent race on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2021. So far in each year in that the race has been run, the race has been won by the driver who went on to win the series championship: Bret Holmes won it in 2020, which was his first ARCA win. The 2022 General Tire 150 was the second stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series, the first race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series West and the 2022 Sioux Chief Showdown, and the third iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, March 11, 2022, in Avondale, Arizona at Phoenix Raceway, a 1-mile (1.6 km) permanent low-banked tri-oval race track. The race was run over 154 laps due to an overtime finish. Taylor Gray of David Gilliland Racing would win the race after leading 43 laps. This was Gray's first career ARCA Menards Series win and his fourth career west series win.
