Jonathan Bell (born 26 August 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC. Born in the United States, he represents the Jamaica national team. Club career New England Revolution II Bell was selected with the 38th overall pick of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by the San Jose Earthquakes. In July 2020, he was signed by USL League One club New England Revolution II. He made his debut for the club on 25 July 2020, against Union Omaha. New England Revolution On 22 March 2021, Bell signed a first-team contract with New England Revolution. 2023 MLS Re-Entry Draft
The 2023 MLS Re-Entry Draft is conducted in two stages, as it has been in previous years. Stage 1 takes place on December 14, 2023, and Stage 2 takes place on December 21, 2023. All 29 existing Major League Soccer club will take part of the 2023 MLS Re-Entry Draft. The draft order was set in reverse order of the 2023 Major League Soccer season standing after completion of the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs. Players 22 year of age or older, with one year in the MLS, who do not have a current contract of Bona Fide Offer are eligible for the 2023 MLS Re-Entry Draft. Players may opt out of the draft by submitting a written notice to the league. If a club chooses a player in stage 1 of the Re-Entry draft, that club must either exercise an option for that player or extend them a Bona Fide offer. Western Conference (MLS)
The Western Conference is one of Major League Soccer's two conferences, along with the Eastern Conference. The division of the conferences broadly follows the path of the Mississippi River from the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, with clubs on, or west of the river in the Western Conference. 2021 Major League Soccer Season
The 2021 Major League Soccer season was the 26th season of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. The 2021 season included the addition of Austin FC as an expansion club, which took the league to 27 teams. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the season was originally scheduled to begin on April 3, as opposed to the normal late February or early March start. This was later pushed back to April 16, the latest ever start to an MLS season, due to negotiations with the MLS Players Association for a new collective bargaining agreement. The regular season concluded on November 7. The 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs began on November 20, and concluded with MLS Cup 2021 on December 11. The Supporters' Shield is an annual award given to the Major League Soccer team with the best regular season record, as determined by the MLS points system. The 2021 season was the 26th in the history of the Major League Soccer club New England Revolution, a professional soccer team based in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The team was under the management of Bruce Arena in his second full MLS season as head coach of the Revs. The regular season began on April 17, 2021.
