Johnson Abernathy Graetz High School (formerly Jefferson Davis High School) is a Public school (government funded), public high school with grades 9 through 12 located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The principal is Dr. Carlos Hammonds. The school is part of the Montgomery Public Schools system. History The school was named after the only-ever President of the Confederate States of America, president of the Confederate States of America, Jefferson Davis, in the 1960s, a century after the Confederacy collapsed. In 2020, the school district's board of education voted to change the school's name from Jefferson Davis High School, a decision that was affirmed in 2022 despite two years of opposition from local pro-Confederacy groups. George Thornton (American Football)
George Renardo Thornton (born April 27, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 1991 NFL draft. George Theo Teague (born February 18, 1971) is an American former professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.
