Johnny Sandon
Johnny Sandon (originally named William "Billy" Francis Beck) (born 27 May 1941, ın Liverpool, Lancashire, England; died 23 December 1996, in Rock Ferry, Merseyside, England) was an early rock and roll singer who was part of the Merseybeat phenomenon in the early 1960s. Music career He was a contemporary of the Beatles, and sang with several of their rival groups, including The Searchers from 1960 to 1961, and The Remo Four from 1962 to 1963. He began singing at the age of 12 and in 1958 entered Hughie Green's "Opportunity Knocks" contest at Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel. He was spotted by the Searchers who asked him to join them and their first gig together was at St Luke's Hall Crosby Merseyside. Tommy Quickly (born Thomas Quigley, 7 July 1945, in Norris Green, Liverpool, Lancashire, England) is an English rock and roll singer who recorded mostly in the early 1960s. He was a later signing of artist manager Brian Epstein, whose biggest act was the Beatles. He was born to Patrick Quigley and Dorothy Gower. He is the twin brother of Patricia Quigley. Professional career Spotted as the vocalist with local group the Challengers, Epstein liked Quigley but not the band, suggesting first a name change (to "Tommy Quickly and the Stops"), then pairing him instead with the Remo Four. The next change was in song selection; while Quickly's voice was best suited to rhythm and blues, Epstein steered him toward pop songs, starting with his first single, " Tip of My Tongue", written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney of the Beatles. Brian Epstein
Brian Samuel Epstein (; 19 September 1934 – 27 August 1967) was a British music entrepreneur who managed the Beatles from 1962 until his death in 1967. Epstein was born into a family of successful retailers in Liverpool, who put him in charge of their music shop, where he displayed a gift for talent-spotting. He first met the Beatles in 1961 at a lunchtime concert at Liverpool's Cavern Club. Although he had no experience of artist management, Epstein put them under contract and insisted that they abandon their scruff-image in favour of a new clean-cut style. He also attempted to get the Beatles a recording contract, eventually securing a deal with EMI's Parlophone label. Within months, the Beatles were international stars. The Searchers were an English Merseybeat group who emerged during the British Invasion of the 1960s.
