Johnny Mann
John Russell Mann (August 30, 1928June 18, 2014) was an American arrangement, arranger, composer, Conducting, conductor, entertainer, Singing, singer, and musician, recording artist. Career Johnny Mann began his music career in the late 1940s in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, Baltimore before serving in the army playing as a member of the United States Army Field Band, U.S. Army Field Band from 1951 to 1953. After his honorable discharge he moved to Los Angeles to continue his professional music career. As bandleader with The Johnny Mann Singers, he and the group sound recording and reproduction, recorded hosted the television program, TV series titled ''Stand Up and Cheer (variety show), Stand Up and Cheer'' (1971–1974), was the musical director for the 1967-69 American Broadcasting Company, ABC-TV late night talk show, ''The Joey Bishop Show (talk show), The Joey Bishop Show'', and performed at the White House twice. KSFO (810 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to San Francisco, California, featuring a conservative talk radio format. Owned by Cumulus Media, KSFO's studios are on Battery Street in the SoMa portion of San Francisco's Financial District. KSFO used the call sign KGO from 1924 to 2024. KSFO's transmitter site is in Fremont, near the Dumbarton Bridge, where its prominent towers are used by pilots as a landmark when navigating. ''The NBC Comedy Hour'' was a comedy show that ran on NBC January 8, 1956 - June 10, 1956, as a replacement for ''The Colgate Comedy Hour''. Background Robert Welch developed the series, which originally was called ''New Comedy Hour''. He expressed concern over its status as "one show that will be put together without a format". Theodore Seville
Alvin and the Chipmunks, originally David Seville and the Chipmunks and billed for their first two decades as the Chipmunks, are an American animated virtual band and media franchise first created by Ross Bagdasarian for Novelty records in 1958. The group consists of three singing animated anthropomorphic chipmunk brothers named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. The characters have since featured in several television series and films, as well as other media. Bagdasarian provided the group's voices by producing sped-up recordings of his own, a technique pioneered on the successful "Witch Doctor".
