Johnny Joyce (Gaelic Footballer)
John Joyce (1937 – 29 October 2019) was an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for Dublin Senior Championship St Vincent's. He played at senior level for the Dublin county team for seven years, during which time he usually lined out as a full-forward. Joyce began his football career at club level with St Vincent's. After winning a Dublin Minor Championship medal in 1955, he subsequently broke onto the club's senior team. Joyce won the first of four successive Dublin Senior Championship medals in 1957 before bring his overall tally to six with further wins in 1962 and 1964. At inter-county level, Joyce was part of the successful Dublin minor team that won the All-Ireland Championship in 1955. He joined the Dublin senior team in 1956. From his debut, Joyce was ever-present as an inside forward and made a combined total of 61 National League and Championship appearances in a career that ended with his last game in 1963. St Vincents GAA
St Vincents is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Marino, Dublin, Marino, on the northside of Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club was founded in 1931. Although the club's grounds were in Raheny for a number of years, it moved to its home back into Marino in 1987. St Vincents merged with Marino Camogie Club in 1997 to form the St. Vincents Hurling, Football and Camogie Club. St Vincents have won the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship on three occasions, most recently in 2014. Cillian O'Connor
Cillian O'Connor (born 1992) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Ballintubber and the Mayo county team. O'Connor is the leading all-time top scorer in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Career O'Connor made his Ballintubber club debut whilst still a teenager in 2010. A year later, he made his county debut for Mayo in the Connacht Senior Football Championship against London at Emerald GAA Grounds in South Ruislip after being called up by former Ballintubber manager James Horan, who had given O'Connor his Ballintuber debut as well. O'Connor was named as the captain of Mayo in 2013 after having won two Young Player of the Year awards in the previous two years and led them to the 2013 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. Leinster Minor Football Championship
The Leinster Minor Football Championship is the premier under-17 "knockout" competition in gaelic football played in the province of Leinster. 2017 was the final year of the minor under 18 football championship as it were replaced by an under 17 championship following a vote at the GAA Congress on 26 February 2016. The current Leinster champions are Longford. The Leinster minor football championship is known as the Fr. Larry Murray Trophy. The Cup is named after Fr. Larry Murray who was an underage GAA mentor in both Louth and Armagh, hence the Ulster Minor Football Championship is also named after Fr. Larry Murray. History The Leinster Minor Football Championship was first played in 1928, however progress stalled at the semi-final stage and the competition was never completed. The 1963 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 77th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter county, inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 5 May 1963 and ended on 22 September 1963. As of 2018, it remains the last All Ireland Senior Football Championship season to be completed without any draws.
