Johnathan Rodríguez
Johnathan Rodríguez (born November 4, 1999) is a Puerto Rican professional baseball outfielder for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Rodríguez is from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. He attended the Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy in Florida, Puerto Rico. The Cleveland Indians selected Rodríguez in the third round, with the 102nd pick, in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He began the 2023 season with the Akron RubberDucks of the Double-A Eastern League and was promoted during the season to the Columbus Clippers of the Triple-A International League. After the season, he was named to the Eastern League's postseason All-Star team. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases. Outfielders normally play behind the six Baseball positions, defensive players located in the infield: the pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, and shortstop. International League
The International League (IL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the United States. Along with the Pacific Coast League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The league traces its roots to 1884, while the modern IL began in 1912. Following MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues in 2021, it operated as the Triple-A East for one season before switching back to its previous moniker in 2022. It is so named because throughout much of its history the International League had teams in Canada and Cuba as well as those in the United States.
