John XXIII College is a Roman Catholicism in Australia, Roman Catholic co-educational primary and secondary day school located in Mount Claremont, Western Australia, Mount Claremont, a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school provides education from kindergarten to Year 12 students. The college is named after Pope John XXIII and operates under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, Catholic Archbishop of Perth. The college is the result of the merger in 1977 of the Jesuit St. Louis School, Claremont, Western Australia, Saint Louis boys school spread over different campuses (first opened in 1938) and Loreto Convent, Claremont, Loreto Convent girls school (first opened in 1897). Swanbourne Hospital
Swanbourne Hospital is a heritage listed former mental hospital located in Mount Claremont, Western Australia. Built in 1904, it was the largest stand-alone psychiatric hospital in Western Australia for much of the twentieth century until its closure in September 1972. The hospital was originally known as Claremont Hospital for the Insane, Claremont Mental Hospital and Claremont Hospital. Following the closure of Claremont Hospital in 1972, the original 1904 section of the hospital functioned as the Swanbourne Hospital until 1985. The site was vacant from 1986, until renovated and reopened primarily as an Aged care in Australia, aged care residence in 2018. Celia Monica Hammond (born 22 November 1968) is an Australian former politician and former academic who was a member of the House of Representatives from the 2019 federal election to the 2022 federal election. She was a member of the Liberal Party and represented the Division of Curtin in Western Australia. Allan Herbert Miller Fels (born 7 February 1942) is an Australian economist, lawyer and public servant. He was most widely known in his role as chairman of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) from its inception in 1995 until 30 June 2003. Upon his retirement from the ACCC, he became foundation dean of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) until January 2013. Judith Mary Edwards (born 10 April 1955) in Beverley, Western Australia is an Australian politician. She was the ALP member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from May 1990 to September 2008, representing the electorate of Maylands. Edwards won preselection for the seat of Maylands following the resignation of Peter Dowding, and entered parliament at the 1990 Maylands by-election.
