John Tice
John Kevin Tice (born June 22, 1960 in Bayshore, New York) is an American football coach and former tight end who played ten seasons in the National Football League for the New Orleans Saints. He is currently the offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator at Pace University, a Division II school in the Northeast 10 Conference. He was inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame on Long Island in the Football Category with the Class of 2013. He is also the younger brother of Mike Tice, a former Quarterback Maryland and in the NFL, and former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense (sports), offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. A sports coach is a person coaching in sport, involved in the direction, instruction and training of a sports team or athlete. Mike Tice
Michael Peter Tice (born February 2, 1959) is a former American football tight end and coach. He played college football at the University of Maryland, College Park and spent 11 seasons playing in the National Football League (NFL) before spending 22 seasons as a coach, including four seasons as the Minnesota Vikings head coach. Playing career Tice attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he played quarterback.
