John McKee (politician)
John McKee (1771 – August 12, 1832) was an American politician active in the Southeastern United States. He served as agent to the Cherokees and Choctaws, and was the first Representative of Alabama's 2nd District from 1823 to 1829. He was also commissioned by President James Madison in 1811 to help wrest East and West Florida from Spanish control. Early life McKee was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia (then part of Augusta County), and attended Liberty Hall Academy in Lexington. By 1792 McKee was in the Southwest Territory (which later became the State of Tennessee). He was appointed that year by territorial Governor William Blount to survey the boundary with the Cherokee nation established by the 1791 Treaty of Holston. McKee was sent on a peacekeeping mission to the Cherokees in 1793, and was temporarily appointed territorial agent for the Cherokees in 1794. John McKee (American Football)
John Sasser McKee (July 16, 1877 – April 22, 1950) was an American college football coach and physician. He served as the head football coach at North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts—now known as North Carolina State University from 1899 to 1900 and Georgia Tech in 1901, compiling a career coaching record of 6–8–3. McKee was born and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, the son of Dr. James McKee and Mildred Sasser McKee. He received his secondary education at the Raleigh Male Academy. McKee enrolled at the University of North Carolina and played on the North Carolina Tar Heels football team from 1897 to 1898 as Tackle (gridiron football position), tackle. While at the school, he was also a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity. After graduation, McKee coached at North Carolina A&M from 1899 to 1900, leading his teams to record of 2–8–2 two seasons. John McKee (philanthropist)
Colonel John McKee (c. 1821 – 6 April 1902) was an African American who became an extremely wealthy property owner in Philadelphia. McKee City, New Jersey is named after him. His legacy continues to fund scholarships for orphan boys. Early life McKee was born in Alexandria, District of Columbia around 1821. An 1838 registration in Alexandria describes him as "a bright mulatto boy, about 19 years old, 5 feet 4½ inches tall, who is straight built with light colored eyes. He was born free, as appears by oaths of Betsey Beckley and Fanny Beckley." He was indentured to a bricklayer while a teenager and ran away, but was brought back to complete his indenture. Career McKee moved to Philadelphia, where he found work in a livery yard. He became a waiter, working for James Prosser, who owned a successful restaurant on Market Street in Philadelphia. John Gregory McKee is a rugby union coach from New Zealand. He is a former coach of the Fiji national rugby 15s team. Career John Mckee is a New Zealand-born rugby union coach, who was the head coach of Fiji's 15s national rugby team. John Gregory McKee was born in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1957. McKee has been coaching since the late 1990s in Australia, but left in 2000 to coach French side AS Montferrand ''(now known as ASM Clermont Auvergne)''. In doing so, he led the team to the final of the 2000–01 French Rugby Union Championship, but lost 34–22 to Toulouse. In 2002 he became assistant coach of Connacht under Michael Bradley. John McKee (born 22 December 1996) is a field hockey player from Ireland, who plays as a forward. Life McKee was born on 22 December 1996. His younger sister, Katie, also plays international field hockey for Ireland. Field hockey Domestic league McKee currently competes in the Irish Hockey League, where he represents Banbridge. Under–21 He made his debut for the Irish U–21 team in 2014 during a four-nations tournament in Belfast. He then went on to represent the team at the EuroHockey Junior Championship II in Lousada. Senior national team McKee made his senior international debut in 2015. He appeared in a test series against Argentina in Dublin.
