John McIntyre Racing
John McIntyre Racing (JMR) is a New Zealand motor racing team that competes in the V8SuperTourer (and formerly in the New Zealand V8s). They currently run a single Ford FG Falcon for team owner John McIntyre. History John McIntyre Racing was formed in 2006 by owner-driver John McIntyre. The team enjoyed success in the 2006–07 NZV8 series, winning the championship in their first season. JMR made it two in a row when they won the 2007–08 NZV8 series for the second time. For 2012, JMR moved to the new SuperTourer championship. The team expanded to two cars, with experienced V8 Supercars driver Steven Richards driving the #556 (later #70). John McIntyre (racing Driver)
John McIntyre (born 10 March 1977) is a New Zealand racecar driver who competes in the V8SuperTourer championship and is a co-driver for Ford Performance Racing in the V8 Supercar Series at Sandown and Bathurst. NZV8's Hawke's Bay-born John McIntyre started in the NZV8s (aka New Zealand V8 Touring Cars) in 1996. In 2006 he debuted his own team John McIntyre Racing and won the 2006–07 championship. The Ford Falcon (FG) is a full-sized car that was produced by Ford Australia from 2008 to 2014. It was the first iteration of the seventh and last generation of the Falcon. Its range no longer featured the Fairmont luxury badge, replaced instead by the G Series. V8SuperTourer
The V8SuperTourers Championship was a motor racing series in New Zealand which started in 2012 and folded in 2015. The cars were then absorbed into the NZ Touring Cars championship. The car was based on a "Car-of-the-Future" prototype built by Paul Ceprnich of Pace Innovations Australia similar to that of the Australian V8 Supercar series. It was designed to be customised to many different manufacturers vehicles including a Holden VE Commodore, Ford FG Falcon, Toyota Camry or BMW 5 Series. Testing started in April 2010. The V8SuperTourer Championship was run by V8SuperTourers Limited, a company formed by current NZV8 team owners Mark Petch, Wayne Anderson and Garry Pedersen. The New Zealand Touring Cars Championship (currently known as the Racer Products V8s for commercial reasons) is a New Zealand-based motorsport category of touring car racing. Steven Richards
Steven James Richards (born 11 July 1972) is a New Zealand-Australian racing driver, currently competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship. Richards, the son of seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Jim Richards, is himself a five-time Bathurst 1000 winner, having won the event in 1998, 1999, 2013, 2015 and 2018. Dominic Storey (born 15 October 1989) is a racing driver from New Zealand. He currently drives the No. 63 Holden VF Commodore for Eggleston Motorsport in the Dunlop Super2 Series.
