John McDaid (1909 – ''unknown'') was an Irish footballer who played in the Football League for Stoke City. Career Born in Derry, Ireland McDaid played football for Drumcondra and Heptonstall, before being given a chance at Stoke City. Derry, officially Londonderry, is the second-largest City status in the United Kingdom, city in Northern Ireland, and the fifth-largest on the island of Ireland. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales.
