John M. Costello
John Martin Costello (January 15, 1903 – August 28, 1976) was an American lawyer and politician who served five terms as a United States House of Representatives, U.S. Representative from California from 1935 to 1945. Early life and career Born in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, the son of Ireland, Irish immigrants, Costello attended the public schools. He was graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, in 1924. He was Admission to the bar in the United States, admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Los Angeles. He was a teacher in Los Angeles secondary schools in 1924 and 1925. Political career He was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the 73rd United States Congress, Seventy-third Congress in 1932. The 74th United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It met in Washington, DC from January 3, 1935, to January 3, 1937, during the third and fourth years of Franklin D. Roosevelt's presidency.
