John Lynch (Cork Gaelic Footballer)
John Lynch (2 May 1890 – 6 November 1930) was an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for Cork Senior Championship club Macroom. He played for the Cork senior football team for five seasons, during which time he usually lined out as a right corner-back. Macroom GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town and surrounding parish of Macroom in Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with Cork GAA county board and the Muskerry GAA divisional board. Macroom Gaelic Footballers
Macroom (; ) is a market town in County Cork, Ireland, located in the valley of the River Sullane, halfway between Cork (city), Cork city and Killarney. Its population has grown and receded over the centuries as it went through periods of war, famine and workhouses, forced emigration and intermittent prosperity. The 2011 census of Ireland, 2011 census gave an urban population of 3,879 people, while the 2016 census of Ireland, 2016 census recorded 3,765 people. Munster Senior Football Championship
The Munster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship and shortened to Munster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
