John Kerr (broadcaster)
John Kerr (Born 19 February 1942) is an Australian radio announcer. John Kerr previously hosted the top-rated weekend edition of the ''New Day Australia'' program from midnight to 6 am on 2UE and the Fairfax Radio Network as well as many regional affiliate stations. Between 1994 and 2005 John hosted the weekday version of ''New Day Australia.'' In 2006, his on-air shift was changed to the weekend edition of the show. Radio announcer Stuart Bocking replaced John in the weekday shifts of ''New Day Australia''. On 1 December 2012, during his 2UE show, John Kerr announced his retirement from radio after 55 years on the air, 18 of which have been on the overnight shift at 2UE, first on weekdays and now on weekends. John made a private announcement to a select number of his biggest fans at a listener lunch in Sydney yesterday afternoon. John remained on air until the Australia Day weekend. Stuart Bocking
Stuart Lyndon Bocking (born 17 June 1969), is a former Australian radio presenter and current political strategist. He has worked primarily for regional and Mt druitt stations, and was a presenter on 2UE, Sydney (from 1996 until 2017). Early life He attended Newington College (1981–1986) and after completing the Higher School Certificate obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University. After playing schoolboy cricket for Newington, Bocking played for Campbeltown Camden, Sydney, where he played fifth grade. Upon graduation he worked for KPMG and in the finance sector among other pieces of work. He later undertook the full-time commercial radio course at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. John Farnham
John Peter Farnham AO (born 1 July 1949) is a British born Australian singer. Farnham was a teen pop idol from 1967 until 1979, billed then as Johnny Farnham, but has since forged a career as an adult contemporary singer.McFarlane (1999). Parkes is a town in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the main settlement in the local government area of Parkes Shire. Radio Scotland
Radio Scotland was an offshore pirate radio station broadcasting on 1241 kHz mediumwave (242 metres), created by Tommy Shields in 1965. The station was on the former lightship L.V. ''Comet'', which had been fitted out as a radio station in Guernsey using RCA technology and engineers, it was anchored at locations off Scotland, usually outside territorial waters. Gosford is the city and administrative centre of the Central Coast Council local government area in the heart of the Central Coast region, about north of Sydney and about south of Newcastle.
