John Kavanagh (actor)
John Kavanagh (born 1946) is an Irish actor who has acted on the stage, in over twenty films including ''Cal'' (1984), ''Braveheart'' (1995) and ''Alexander'' (2004), and on television. Most recently, he is known for his portrayal of The Seer in the History Channel series ''Vikings''. He has received a number of accolades, including a Drama Desk Award nomination in 1989 for his role in a revival of '' Juno and the Paycock''. Education Kavanagh attended the Brendan Smyth Academy since he was 19 and then trained at the Abbey Theatre. In 1967, he joined the company and stayed with them for 10 years before becoming freelancer. John Kavanagh (Arizona Politician)
John Kavanagh (born June 5, 1950) is an American politician who has served in both houses of the Arizona State Legislature since 2007. He is currently representing the 3rd legislative district in the Arizona Senate since 2023. Kavanagh represented District 23 in the Arizona House of Representatives representing from 2013 to 2015, District 8 from 2007 to 2013, and District 23 from 2019 to 2023. He was a police officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and retired as a detective sergeant, after 20 years of service. He is currently a professor of criminal justice at Scottsdale Community College (AZ), where he is Program Director of the Administration of Justice Studies and Forensic Science Programs. John Kavanagh (bishop)
John Patrick Kavanagh (30 April 1913 – 10 July 1985) was the fourth Catholic Bishop of Dunedin (1957–1985). Kavanagh was born in Hāwera in 1913. Dunedin's only Catholic secondary school, Kavanagh College , motto_translation = With Her As Our Guide , type = State-integrated secondary , established = 1989; years ago (antecedent secondary schools: 1871, 1876, 1878, 1897 and 1976) , streetaddress ..., was named after him until 2023. John Raymond Kavanagh (born 18 January 1977) is an Irish martial arts coach, Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and former professional mixed martial artist. John Kavanagh (1814 – 1884) was a businessman and politician in Newfoundland. He represented St. John's East in the Newfoundland House of Assembly as a Liberal from 1857 to 1869. He was first elected to the assembly in an 1857 by-election held after Peter Winser resigned his seat. John Francis Kavanagh
John Francis Kavanagh (24 September 1903 – 18 June 1984) was an Irish sculptor and artist. In 1930 he was awarded the British School at Rome Scholarship in Sculpture. In 1933 he was appointed Head of Department of Sculpture and Modelling at the Leeds College of Art. Kavanagh was an Associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors from 1935, and elected a Fellow in 1945. In 1951 he took up the post of Senior Lecturer in Sculpture at the Elam School of Fine Arts, Auckland, New Zealand.
