John Goodner
John David Goodner (February 26, 1944 – December 5, 2005) was an American football coach. John Goodner hailed from Frederick, Oklahoma. He played football at his alma mater, nearby Southwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1967. Goodner coached high school football in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico for fifteen years before moving to the college ranks. Career Goodner was the linebackers coach at Baylor University from 1982 through 1991, becoming Baylor's defensive coordinator in 1992. In 1993, Goodner left Baylor for Texas Tech University where he served as linebackers coach through 1994, becoming defensive coordinator there in 1995 under head coach Spike Dykes. Goodner was Texas Tech's defensive coordinator through the 1999 season, becoming the university's highest-paid assistant coach before his departure. Frederick, Oklahoma
Frederick is a city and county seat of Tillman County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 3,468 at the time of the 2020 Census. It is an agriculture-based community that primarily produces wheat, cotton, and cattle. Willie Montae Reagor (; born June 29, 1977) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American. Marcus Coleman (born May 24, 1974) is an American former professional American football, football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Jets, Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys. In North America, a bowl game, or simply bowl, is one of a number of postseason college football games primarily played by NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams. For most of its history, the FBS did not use a playoff tournament to determine an annual national champion, instead relying on a vote by sportswriters or coaches. Guy Walker Morriss (May 13, 1951 – September 5, 2022) was an American football coach and player. He served as the head football coach at the University of Kentucky for two seasons (2001–2002) and at Baylor University for five seasons (2003–2007). Morriss played college football at Texas Christian University (TCU) and spent 15 seasons as an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles (1973–1983) and the New England Patriots (1984–1987). William Taylor "Spike" Dykes (March 14, 1938 – April 10, 2017) was an American football coach. A high school and college football coach throughout his career, he last served as head coach at Texas Tech University from 1986 to 1999.
