John Frazer (born 1945, Lancashire, England) is a British architectural academic. John Frazer (cricketer)
John Ewan Frazer (2 April 1901 – 2 January 1927) played first-class cricket for Somerset, Sussex and Oxford University between 1921 and 1924. He was born at Sydney, Australia and died following a ski-ing accident at Davos, Switzerland. Background and education The son of an Australian doctor who took his medical degree at Oxford University and then settled at East Grinstead, Sussex, Frazer was educated at Winchester College where he was an all-round sportsman. As a cricketer he was a left-handed middle-order or opening batsman and a left-arm fast-medium bowler; however, his bowling "mysteriously deserted him – possibly a result of gymnastics", according to his obituary, written by his Winchester contemporary Douglas Jardine in the 1928 edition of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, and he did not bowl in first-class cricket. John Frazer (politician)
John Frazer (1827 – 25 October 1884) was an Irish-born Australian politician and businessman. Biography Frazer was born at Dromore in County Down to John Frazer and Sarah Waddell. He migrated to New South Wales in 1842, becoming first a squatter and then a clerk. In 1847 he opened a wholesale grocery business in Sydney. He married Elizabeth Ewan, with whom he had four children, in 1853. Frazer took his brother-in-law, James Ewan, into partnership in 1859. In the 1860s he was involved in land speculation and acquired several properties. In 1869 he retired from the business of John Frazer & Co, with his former client, and Ewan's future brother-in-law, James Watson, joining the partnership. After his retirement, he devoted his attention to the erection of woolstores, warehouses, and other buildings in Sydney; one of his warehouses survives, in modified form, at 63 York Street, Sydney. John Fries Frazer (8 July 1812 – 12 October 1872) was a University of Pennsylvania graduate and first assistant geologist to the Geological Survey of Pennsylvania. He became a professor of Natural philosophy and Chemistry and in later years he became Vice Provost of the University of Pennsylvania. Childhood Frazer was born in Philadelphia on 8 July 1812, son of the successful lawyer Robert Frazer and grandson of Lieutenant Colonel Persifor Frazer, who had fought in the American Revolution. He was the youngest of five children, taking his middle name from his mother, Elizabeth Fries, who died when he was about two years old. His father died in 1820, and he was placed in the custody of his maternal grandfather, John Fries. Jack Frazer
John L. (Jack) Frazer OMM, MSC (20 December 1931 – 17 December 2012) was a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1993 to 1997 who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). He was born in Kamloops, British Columbia. In 1956, he married his first wife, Millicent June Black. After completing the Fighter Controller course at Tyndal Air force Base, Florida in America, Frazer was assigned to Fighter Controller duties in 1958, serving at Radar Stations in Mont Apica, Quebec and Edgar Ontario. In 1961, he was selected to join the RCAF's Golden Hawks aerobatic team at RCAF Chatham. Flying with the Golden Hawks in 1961 and 1962, he flew in air shows across Canada and the United States before being selected to fly the CF-104 Starfighter.
