John Ferriols
Hubert John B. Ferriols (born September 9, 1974 in Davao City, Philippines) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Mindoro Tamaraws of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Ferriols was a former star in the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA), after which he spent fourteen years in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Professional career Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA) Ferriols started his career with the Negros Slashers of the now-defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA). Ferriols was declared as the league's MVP in the league's inaugural season. He led the Slashers to its only title in the MBA during the 2002 season, MBA's final season. He played for five years with the Slashers, from the league's establishment to its folding in 2002. Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League
The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is a men's regional professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of 30 teams. Founded in 2017 by eight-division boxing world champion and then-Senator Manny Pacquiao, the MPBL is not intended to be a competitor to the top-flight Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), but rather to provide a gateway for local, homegrown talents to showcase their skills. The league uses a home-and-away format, similar to the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association. The MPBL started an amateur league before being granted professional status by the Games and Amusements Board. Due to Pacquiao's role in the league, it has also been referred to as Manny Pacquiao's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. 2007 PBA Fiesta Conference
The 2007 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Fiesta Conference or known as the 2007 Talk 'N Text PBA Fiesta Conference for sponsorship reasons, is the second conference of the 2006-07 season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Teams are allowed to pick an import with a maximum height-limit of 6-feet, 6-inches tall. The tournament began on March 4 and finished on July 20. The schedule will be shortened due to the league's commitment to the Philippine national basketball team while 12 players selected by national team head coach Chot Reyes will not play for their mother teams. Red Bull Barako is the defending champions of the tournament. Talk 'N Text, a product of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, was the main sponsor of the tournament. 2012 ABL Season
The 2012 ASEAN Basketball League season was the third season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since its establishment. A total of eight teams will compete the league. The regular season will begin on 16 January 2012 and will end on 13 May 2012. Three teams will debut this season: the Bangkok Cobras, the San Miguel Beermen and the SSA Saigon Heat, while the Brunei Barracudas team took a leave of absence. The 2013–14 PBA season was the 39th season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The season formally opened on November 17, 2013, and finished on July 9, 2014. The league continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The Commissioner's Cup and the Governors' Cup is the second and third conferences for this season. Originally scheduled to end on August 13, the season schedule was shortened to allow more time for Gilas Pilipinas to prepare for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2014 Asian Games. The TNT Tropang 5G is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the PLDT, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990. The franchise began in 1990 when Pepsi Philippines, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) acquired a PBA franchise. Under PCPPI, the franchise played under the names Pepsi and 7 Up. 2010 PBA Fiesta Conference
The 2010 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Fiesta Conference was the last conference of the 2009–10 PBA season. It started on March 21 and finished on August 18, 2010. The tournament is an import-laden format, which requires an import or a pure-foreign player for each team and with a height limit of 6-foot-6 (same with the previous Fiesta Conferences except 2008 which had imports of unlimited heights, and of 2007 where the two worst teams in the Philippine Cup had an extra import of 6-foot-1 height limit). Earl Timothy Cone (born December 14, 1957) is an American professional basketball coach who leads Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the Philippine men's national team. He is the most accomplished coach in PBA history with 25 titles including two Grand Slams, five Coach of the Year awards, and the most coaching wins with over 1,000.
