John F.G. Wade
John Fredric G. Wade (born 4 December 1968) is a United States Navy vice admiral who has served as commander of the United States Third Fleet since 7 June 2024. He most recently served as the commander of Joint Task Force - Red Hill from 2022 to 2024. He previously served as the director of operations of the United States Indo-Pacific Command from 2020 to 2022. Wade graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1990 with a B.S. degree in economics. He later earned a master's degree in information systems technology from the Naval Postgraduate School and a second master's degree in national security strategy from the National War College. The United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) is a service component command of the United States Navy that provides naval forces to a wide variety of U.S. forces. The naval resources may be allocated to Combatant Commanders such as United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) under the authority of the Secretary of Defense.
