John Carnegie (1837–1910)
John Carnegie (April 23, 1837 – January 10, 1910) was an Ontario political figure. He represented Peterborough West in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Conservative member from 1867 to 1871 and from 1883 to 1886. He was born in Douro, Upper Canada in 1837, the son of a Scottish immigrant, and educated in Peterborough and Brantford. He served on the Douro council from 1859 to 1866 and was reeve from 1864 to 1866. He was secretary and treasurer for the agricultural society for Peterborough County Peterborough County is a county and census division located in Southern Ontario, Canada. Thomas McCulloch Fairbairn (politician)
Thomas McCullouch Fairbairn (April 19, 1840 – May 13, 1874) was a Canadian lawyer and politician. He represented Peterborough West in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1871 to 1874. Fairbairn was born in Bowmanville in 1840, the son of a Scottish immigrant. He articled in law and was called to the bar in 1865. In 1864, Fairbairn married Elfrida Armour and then, in 1866, Jane Roger after Elfrida's death. He practiced law in Peterborough. Robert Kincaid
Robert Kincaid (June 10, 1832 – August 15, 1920) was an Ontario doctor and political figure. He represented Peterborough West in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1882 to 1883 as a Conservative member. Biography He was born in County Donegal, Ireland on June 10, 1832; his parents were of Scottish descent. Kincaid was educated at Queen's University in Kingston, receiving an M.D. In 1865, he married Maggie M. Bell. He served as surgeon for the Peterborough County jail, for the town of Peterborough and for the local militia. He was elected by acclamation to the provincial assembly in an 1882 by-election held after the death of William Hepburn Scott.
