John Brace (MP)
John Brace (born c. 1578) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1604 to 1611. Brace was the son of Philip Brace of Worcestershire. He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford on 8 November 1594 aged 16. John Thurlow Brace
John Thurloe Brace (born c. 1685) of Astwood, Buckinghamshire was a British landowner and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1715 and 1728. Brace was the eldest surviving son of Francis Brace, an attorney of Bedford, and his second wife Anne Thurloe, daughter of John Thurloe, who was secretary to Oliver Cromwell. He was educated at Bedford School and was admitted at Trinity College, Cambridge on 8 January 1702, aged 16. He was admitted at Inner Temple in 1705. He succeeded his father in 1712 and inherited the estate of Astwood, near Bedford, through his mother. Before 1716, he married Anna Maria Harris. Brace, was returned as a Whig Member of Parliament for Bedford at the 1715 general election and voted with the Administration in all recorded divisions. Weymouth (UK Parliament Constituency)
Weymouth and Melcombe Regis was a parliamentary borough in Dorset represented in the English House of Commons, later in that of Great Britain, and finally in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was formed by an Act of Parliament of 1570 which amalgamated the existing boroughs of Weymouth and Melcombe Regis. Until 1832, the combined borough continued to elect the four Members of Parliament (MPs) to which its constituent parts had previously been entitled; the Great Reform Act reduced its representation to two Members, and the constituency was abolished altogether in 1885, becoming part of the new South Dorset constituency. Bletchingley (UK Parliament Constituency)
Bletchingley was a parliamentary borough in Surrey. It returned two Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons of England from 1295 to 1707, to the House of Commons of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800, and to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom until 1832, when the constituency was abolished by the Great Reform Act. Elections were held using the bloc vote system. History Bletchingley was one of the original boroughs enfranchised in the Model Parliament, and kept its status until the Reform Act. The borough consisted of the former market town of Bletchingley in Surrey, which by the 19th century had shrunk to a village. In 1831, the population of the borough was 513, and contained only 85 houses. Worcestershire was a county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of England then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1832. It was represented until 1832 by two Members of Parliament traditionally referred to as Knights of the Shire. It was split then into two two-member divisions, for Parliamentary purposes, Worcestershire Eastern and Worcestershire Western constituencies. The Oaks (TV Pilot)
''The Oaks'' is an American supernatural drama television pilot, created by David Schulner for the Fox network's 2008/2009 season. The addition to the Fox line-up was speculated to be a much-needed high-concept drama, purportedly to compete in ratings with ABC's '' Lost'', ''Desperate Housewives'', and ''Grey's Anatomy'', and with CBS's '' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' and its various spin-off shows.
