Johann Heinrich Richter
Johann Heinrich Richter (1803–1845) was a German painter. Life Johann Heinrich Richter was born in 1803 in Koblenz. From 1822 he trained to become a goldsmith at his father's workshop in Koblenz. Between 1822 and 1827 he studied in Paris under Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson and François Gérard. After it he returned to Koblenz. Around 1830 he traveled to the Netherlands and again to Paris. From 1830 to 1833 he stayed in Munich. There he painted historical cartons at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and at the same time he was very active as a portrait painter. Between 1832 and 1834, Richter was in Naples, Florence and Rome, accompanied by Horace Vernet and Léopold Robert. From 1836 he returned to Koblenz and worked primarily as a portrait painter. From 1840 to 1844 the artist lived and worked as a portrait painter in the Netherlands (The Hague, Middelburg, Zeeland, Middelburg). Eugène De Beauharnais
Eugène Rose de Beauharnais (; 3 September 1781 – 21 February 1824) was a French statesman and military officer who served in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Through the second marriage of his mother, Joséphine de Beauharnais, he was the stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte. Under the First French Empire, French Empire he also became Napoleon's adopted son (but not the heir to the imperial throne). He was Viceroy of the Kingdom of Italy (Napoleonic), Kingdom of Italy under his stepfather, from 1805 to 1814, and commanded the Army of Italy (France), Army of Italy during the Napoleonic Wars. Pope Pius VII
Pope Pius VII (; born Barnaba Niccolò Maria Luigi Chiaramonti; 14 August 1742 – 20 August 1823) was head of the Catholic Church from 14 March 1800 to his death in August 1823. He ruled the Papal States from June 1800 to 17 May 1809 and again from 1814 to his death. Chiaramonti was also a monk of the Order of Saint Benedict in addition to being a well-known theologian and bishop. Chiaramonti was made Bishop of Tivoli in 1782, and resigned that position upon his appointment as Bishop of Imola in 1785. That same year, he was made a cardinal. In 1789, the French Revolution took place, and as a result a series of anti-clerical governments came into power in the country. Karl Ludwig Johannes Baedeker ( , ; born Bädeker; 3 November 1801 – 4 October 1859) was a German publisher whose company, Baedeker, set the standard for authoritative guidebooks for tourists. Karl Baedeker was descended from a long line of printers, booksellers and publishers. He was the eldest of ten children of Gottschalk Diederich Bädeker (1778–1841), who had inherited the publishing house founded by his own father, Zacharias Gerhard Bädeker (1750–1800). The company also published the local newspaper, the ''Essendische Zeitung'', and the family expected that Karl, too, would eventually join the firm.
