Jogailė Aglinskytė
Jogailė Aglinskytė (born 16 November 2005) is a Lithuanian figure skater. She is the Lithuanian Figure Skating Championships, 2025 Lithuanian national silver medalist. Personal life Aglinskytė was born on November 16, 2005 in Vilnius, Lithuania. She is currently a student at Vytautas Magnus University. Career Early years Aglinskytė began learning how to skate in 2011. 2019–2020 season Aglinskytė made her junior international debut by competing at the NRW Trophy, 2019 NRW Trophy, where she finished in fourth place. She then competed on the 2019–20 ISU Junior Grand Prix, placing fourteenth at ISU Junior Grand Prix in France, 2019 JGP France and at ISU Junior Grand Prix in Latvia, 2019 JGP Latvia. Aglinskytė subsequently followed up these results by placing fourteenth on the junior at the 2019 IceLab International Cup and fifth on the junior level at the Tallinn Trophy, 2019 Tallinn Trophy. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Nathan Chen from the United States holds both the highest single men's short program and free skating scores; Russian skater Kamila Valieva holds both the highest single women's short program and free skating scores. Compulsory figures, from which the sport of figure skating gets its name, were a crucial part of the sport for most of its history until the ISU voted to remove them in 1990.
