Joey Coulter
Joseph Coulter IV (born June 8, 1990) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He currently competes in the SMART Modified Tour, driving the No. 02 for his own team. Racing career Early career A native of Miami Springs, Florida, Coulter started his racing career in 1998, racing go-karts at West Coast Kart way in Naples, Florida. In 1999, Coulter entered the national Karting circuit in the WKA Horstman Gold Cup series while he was still competing in the Florida WKA Championship series. In his first two years of Karting Coulter won over 50 events, winning two state championships. In 2000, Coulter received CJ Marvin Sportsman of the year award. In 2005 he won the Summer Nationals at the G & J Kartway in Camden, Ohio. Michigan International Speedway
Michigan International Speedway (formerly named as the Michigan Speedway from 1997 to 2000) is a D-shaped oval superspeedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. It has hosted various major auto racing series throughout its existence, including NASCAR, Championship Auto Racing Teams, CART, and IndyCar Series, IndyCar races. Berlin Raceway is a long paved oval race track in Marne, Michigan, near Grand Rapids, Michigan, Grand Rapids. The track races weekly as part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Patrick Sheltra
Patrick Sheltra (born May 14, 1986) is an American professional stock car racing driver and owner. He is the 2010 ARCA Racing Series champion. He also previously competed part-time in what is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Truck Series. Racing career Starting to race at local tracks in 2001, Sheltra moved up to the ARCA Re/MAX Series in 2005, starting his first race at Chicagoland Speedway. Running his first full season in the series in 2007, he ran the next three seasons of the series as well; a wreck in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway in 2009 resulted in him being briefly hospitalized. His car spun and backed into the outside wall and stopped on top of the track when he was t-boned by Larry Hollenbeck at about 165 miles per hour. The crash also injured Hollenbeck. The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by Re/MAX and Menards was the 58th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 6 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 9 with the American 200 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. Patrick Sheltra, driving for his own team, Sheltra Motorsports, won the championship. This season was notable for the season-opening race, the 2010 Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona, which had the largest audience of any ARCA event in the history of the series with 2.4 million viewers tuning in on the Speed Channel. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. It also provides hobby drivers a chance to experience racing at large tracks used in the three national touring series in NASCAR. 2009 ARCA Re/Max Series
The 2009 ARCA Re/MAX Series was the 57th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 7 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 11 with the Rockingham ARCA 200. Justin Lofton of Eddie Sharp Racing won the season championship. This season's championship result was the closest in ARCA history, as Lofton won the title over Kligerman by a mere five points. Although Kligerman won an astounding nine races that season, Lofton (who won six races) was able to barely beat him, mainly on the strength of earning bonus points for winning poles. Iowa Speedway is a oval short track in Newton, Iowa. Since its inaugural season of racing in 2006, the track has hosted a variety of racing events, including events sanctioned by NASCAR and IndyCar. USA International Speedway
The USA International Speedway was an oval located near Lakeland, Florida, United States, that opened in 1995. The track was a .75-mile-long concrete paved oval with 14° banked turns. USA International Speedway was closed with the final race on August 2, 2008. In 2010 the track was stripped of its grandstands and control tower. In early 2012 the track was completely demolished, a warehouse now sits on the property. The World Karting Association, or WKA, is the largest sanctioning body for kart racing in North America. The WKA was founded in 1971 and is located directly behind Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The WKA is believed to currently have approximately 5,000 members.
