Joelho De Porco
Joelho de Porco (lit. "Pig's Knee" but more precisely "Ham Hock") is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1972 in São Paulo. They are known for their musical eclecticism and their role in pioneering punk in Brazil. History Context and formation In 1965, the group The Skeletons was formed in São Paulo. Later, they changed their name to Os Abrasivos. Their line-up involved Fábio Gasparini and Eduardo Zocchi on the guitars and Próspero Albanese on the drums. They initially had no bassist and performed instrumental rock. Later, bassist Gerson Tatini (who would later play with Moto Perpétuo) joined them. Still in the 1960s, the band Mona is formed with Albanese, Gasparini and Tatini among its members. Other members included guitarist André Geraissati, brothers Albino and Pedro Infantozzi, João Paulo de Almeida and Conrado Ruiz. Minimoog
The Minimoog is an analog synthesizer first manufactured by Moog Music between 1970 and 1981. Designed as a more affordable, portable version of the modular Moog synthesizer, it was the first synthesizer sold in retail stores. It was first popular with progressive rock and jazz musicians and found wide use in disco, pop, rock and electronic music. Production of the Minimoog stopped in the early 1980s after the sale of Moog Music. In 2002, founder Robert Moog regained the rights to the Moog brand, bought the company, and released an updated version of the Minimoog, the Minimoog Voyager. David Drew Zingg (December 14, 1923July 28, 2000) was an American photographer and journalist. He spent nearly forty years in Brazil (mostly split between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo), becoming an important figure in the cultural life of the both cities and the bossa nova movement of the 1960s. Zingg was born in Montclair, New Jersey on December 14, 1923. He studied at Columbia University in New York City, majoring in history and literature, where he later gave classes in journalism. He worked in the newsroom of NBC, and volunteered in the U.S. Army Air Force in the Second World War. He was based in England. After he was grounded, he became a war correspondent in France and Germany for the Armed Services Radio. During 1950–52, he was the editor of the United Fruit Company house organ, ''Unifruitco''. "" () is a Neapolitan song composed in 1880 by Luigi Denza to lyrics by Peppino Turco. It was written to commemorate the opening of the first funicular railway on Mount Vesuvius. It was presented by Turco and Denza at the Piedigrotta festival the same year. The sheet music was published by Ricordi and sold over a million copies within a year. Since its publication, it has been widely adapted and recorded. Zé Rodrix (; 25 November 1947 – 22 May 2009) was a Brazilian composer, instrumentalist, and singer. He was well known in his native country for performing with musical ensembles Sá & Guarabyra, Sá, Rodrix & Guarabyra, Som Imaginário and Momento Quatro. A native of Rio de Janeiro, José Rodrigues Trindade used a modified spelling of his middle name as part of his stage name throughout a career that spanned over four decades. Som Imaginario, with another well-known member, Robertinho Silva, accompanied Milton Nascimento and Gal Costa and, in 1971, Elis Regina's recording of his rock-rural "Casa no Campo" (with Tavito) became a huge hit.
