Joel Bomgar
Joel Bomgaars (born February 6, 1980), known professionally as Joel Bomgar, is an American businessman and politician. He is the founder of Bomgar Corporation, a technology company. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing the 58th district from 2016 to 2024. Early life Joel Bomgaars was born on February 6, 1980. He graduated from Belhaven University. He served in the Mississippi Air National Guard. Career Business In 2003, Joel Bomgar founded Bomgar Corporation, a company that provides software-based, remote tech-support solutions. Bomgar grew the company to provide services to clients in around 65 countries and had a revenue of around $50 million, as of 2014. Bomgar stepped down from CEO to chairman of the board after an equity firm purchased a majority stake in the company. The Mississippi House of Representatives is the lower house of the Mississippi Legislature, the lawmaking body of the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the state constitution of 1890, it is to comprise no more than 122 members elected for four-year terms. To qualify as a member of the House candidates must be at least 21 years old, a resident of Mississippi for at least four years, and a resident in the district for at least two years. Ridgeland, Mississippi
Ridgeland is a city in Madison County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 24,340 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Jackson metropolitan area. History In 1805, the Choctaw Indian Agency, headed by Silas Dinsmoor, was located in what is now Ridgeland. The structure was then called "Turner Brashear's Stand" until about 1850. It was adapted for use as a hotel named the King's Inn. During the American Civil War, General Stephen Lee used the inn as a headquarters. The hotel continued to operate until 1896, when it was destroyed by fire. In 1853, James B. Yellowley founded the community of Yellowley's Crossing (later named "Jessamine" after his wife). In 1896, Edward Treakle and Gordon Nichols, two real estate developers from Chicago, purchased the land from Yellowley and established the Highland Colony Company.
