Joseph William Robinson Harle (31 May 1927 – 3 July 2017) was an English actor, martial artist, and professional wrestler. He was known during his wrestling career by the ring name "Tiger" Joe Robinson. Early life Robinson was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1927. He was the son of Joseph Spedding Robinson, sometimes called Jack Robinson, a Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling champion-turned-professional wrestler. His grandfather John was also a wrestler. In 1931, Robinson and his family moved to South Africa, where his father ran a gym. Robinson worked in his father's gym, and trained in catch wrestling and bodybuilding from a young age. He later took up Japanese martial arts, obtaining black belts in Wadō-ryū karate (8th ''dan'') and judo (5th ''dan''). Joe Sam Robinson Jr. (born 1945) is an American neurosurgeon. He is a professor and chief of neurosurgery at Mercer University and a clinical professor at Georgia Regents University. Early life and education The son of Joe Sam Robinson and Nell Mixon Robinson, he was born on July 21, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia. Robinson grew up in Macon, Georgia, and attended Harvard University, graduating cum laude in 1967. While at Harvard he ran and lettered in varsity track and football and was a Rhodes Scholar nominee. Robinson then attended the University of Virginia medical school where he played first side on their rugby team and graduated as a member of the medical honors society AOA. Joseph Robert Robinson (born 25 May 1991) is an Australian guitar player and vocalist. A largely self-taught musician from Temagog, New South Wales, he is best known for his virtuoso guitar abilities and for winning the 2008 season of ''Australia's Got Talent''. Biography Robinson was born in Temagog, New South Wales. He started playing piano at the age of 6, only because he was told his fingers were too small to play the guitar. Aged 10, he quit piano and began to play the guitar. He outgrew his guitar teacher in less than 12 months, and started to teach himself from the internet. When he was 11 years old, Joe began touring with different Australian artists, including Tommy Emmanuel, who became his mentor. Joe Alan Robinson (born 10 August 1996) is an English footballer who plays for Newmarket Town, as a defender. Playing career In 2008, Robinson joined Championship side Ipswich Town at the age of 12. After rapidly progressing through the Ipswich Town youth sides since his arrival, Robinson has captained both under-18 and under-21 sides.
