Joe Newell
Joseph Peter Newell (born 15 March 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Scottish Premiership club Hibernian as a midfielder. Newell has previously played for Peterborough United, St Albans City and Rotherham United. Career Peterborough United Newell made his debut for Peterborough United on 25 April 2011, in a 2–2 draw at home to Yeovil Town. He made his second appearance in a 5–0 win against Dagenham & Redbridge on 7 May 2011. He began to establish himself in the team during the 2011–12 season, and scored his first goal for the club in an away match against Leeds United on 14 April 2012. He scored his second goal for the club on 14 August 2012, helping Peterborough to a 4–0 win against Southend United in the first round of the League Cup. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Rotherham is also the third largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield and Doncaster, which it is located between. Traditional industries included glass making and flour milling. Elgin City Football Club (also known as City or The Black and Whites) is a professional senior football club based in Elgin, Moray. Elgin was founded in 1893 and originally played their football in the Highland Football League. The club was granted league status in 2000. The National League South, formerly Conference South, is one of the second divisions of the National League in England, immediately below the top division National League. Along with National League North, it is in the second level of the National League System, and is the sixth tier overall of the English football league system. The National League South was introduced in 2004 as part of a major restructuring of the National League System. Each year the champion of the league is automatically promoted to the National League. The 2010–11 Football Conference season was the seventh season with the Conference consisting of three divisions and the thirty-second season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The top team and the winner of the play-off of the National division were promoted to Football League Two, while the bottom four were relegated to the North or South divisions. The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League.
