Joseph Michael Milinichik (born March 30, 1963) is an American former professional football player who was a guard for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, and Los Angeles Chargers, San Diego Chargers. He played college football for the NC State Wolfpack football, NC State Wolfpack, earning first-team College Football All-America Team, All-American honors in 1985. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. The 1990 Los Angeles Rams season was the team's 53rd year with the National Football League and 45th season in Los Angeles. On November 11, 1990, Marcus Dupree made his NFL debut against the New York Giants. The Rams, temporarily playing in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, looked to improve on their 11–5 season from 1989 and make the playoffs for the third consecutive season and be possible contenders for the Super Bowl. Barry Sanders (born July 16, 1968) is an American former professional football running back who played for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons. Sanders led the league in rushing yards four times and in rushing touchdowns once, establishing himself as one of the most elusive runners in the history of the NFL with his quickness and agility, despite being only 5 ft 8 tall and weighing 203 lbs.
