The Oregon Ducks are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Oregon, located in Eugene. Larry Lewis (born October 30, 1957) is a college football coach and former player. Previously Lewis served as the head football coach at Idaho State and as an assistant coach at Weber State, Washington State and Colorado State. Lewis also played linebacker at Boise State from 1977 through 1980 and was a member of the Broncos' national championship team in 1980. Lewis was hired by Idaho State on November 23, 1998, to serve as their head coach after he served as an assistant for Mike Price for 18 years at both Weber State and Washington State. History ''The Lubbock Avalanche'' was founded in 1900 by John James Dillard and Thad Tubbs. Matthew Scribner Wells (born August 10, 1973) is an American football coach and former quarterback who most recently served as the head coach at Texas Tech University. Wells previously served as the offensive coordinator and then head coach at Utah State University, where he was named Mountain West conference coach of the year in 2013 and again in 2018. He was named head coach of Texas Tech on November 29, 2018. He is currently an offensive analyst under Brent Venables at Oklahoma. College playing career Wells was a redshirt freshman during Utah State's 1993 Las Vegas Bowl season. He played quarterback in 16 games during the 1994 and 1995 seasons at USU, passing for 2,013 yards and 11 touchdowns. Michael Kelly Norvell (born October 11, 1981) is an American college football coach who is currently head coach at Florida State. Norvell was previously the head coach at Memphis. He has coached at Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Tulsa, and Central Arkansas. He played wide receiver at the University of Central Arkansas from 2001 to 2005 and is the school's all-time receptions leader. Playing career Norvell attended the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) from 2001 to 2005 and played wide receiver.
