The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, commonly known as The Kubert School or Joe Kubert School, is a Private college, private For-profit higher education in the United States, for-profit art school focused on cartooning and graphic art located in Madison, New Jersey. It teaches the principles of sequential art and the particular craft of the comic book, comics industry as well as commercial illustration. The school's instructors are professional writers, artists, colorists, and letterers working in the comic book and commercial art field, many of them graduates of the school themselves. Adam Kubert
Adam Kubert (; born 1959) is an American comics artist known for his work for publishers such as Marvel Comics and DC Comics, including work on ''Action Comics'', '' Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine'', '' The Incredible Hulk'', ''Ultimate Fantastic Four'', ''Ultimate X-Men'', and ''Wolverine''. Kubert was rated by '' Wizard'' magazine as one of the "Hot 10 Writers and Artists" in the industry in 2008. Bjørn Ousland (born 14 May 1959) is a Norwegian illustrator, children's writer and comics writer. His breakthrough was the album series ''Solruns saga'' from 1988 to 1993. Andy Price is an American comic artist, currently employed by IDW Publishing. He illustrates the '' My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'' comic. Career Price acted as the artist (along with writer Katie Cook) behind issues #1-4 of '' My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'', a comic based on the popular children's TV show of the same name. Career Lee Weeks attended The Kubert School and made his professional comics debut penciling, inking, and lettering a short story ("Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Drunk") in ''Tales of Terror'' #5 (March 1986), a horror anthology published by Eclipse Comics. Ron Randall
Ron Randall (born November 22, 1956) is an American comic book artist best known as the creator of the character Trekker. Career A graduate of The Kubert School, Ron Randall's first published comic book work was a two-page backup story titled "Killers Above -- Killers Below!" which was written by Robert Kanigher and appeared in '' Unknown Soldier'' #243 (September 1980). Randall then drew several stories for the '' Sgt. Rock'' title with Joe Kubert, as well as for many of DC's mystery titles. He and writer Gary Cohn co-created the "Barren Earth" feature as a backup in '' The Warlord'' #63 (November 1982) and it was spun off into a four-issue limited series in 1985. Timothy Truman (born February 9, 1956) is an American writer, artist and musician. He is best known for his stories and Wild West-style comic book art, and in particular, for his work on '' Grimjack'' (with John Ostrander), ''Scout'', and the reinvention of Jonah Hex, with Joe R. John Totleben
John Thomas Totleben (born February 16, 1958) is an American illustrator working mostly in comic books. Biography After studying art at Tech Memorial in Erie, Totleben attended The Kubert School for one year. He then spent several years working for comics editor Harry "A" Chesler, producing illustrations for the'' Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam''; which never saw print. His first published work appeared in '' Heavy Metal'' in January 1979. His first success in American comics, and still his best-known work, was as the inker of pencilled art by Stephen R. Bissette for the DC Comics title '' The Saga of The Swamp Thing'', when the series was being written and reinvented by Alan Moore.
