Joe Hafferty
Joseph Hafferty (born March 21, 1998) is an American association football, soccer player who currently plays for USL Championship side Las Vegas Lights FC, Las Vegas Lights. Career Youth Hafferty has been with the Seattle Sounders FC Academy since 2013. On February 2, 2017, it was announced that he signed a letter of intent to play college soccer at Oregon State University, Oregon State. On March 26, he made his debut for United Soccer League, USL club Seattle Sounders FC 2 in a 2–1 defeat to Sacramento Republic FC, Sacramento Republic. College Hafferty played College soccer in the United States, college soccer at Oregon State University, and was a three-time All-Pac-12 selection, including back-to-back First Team nods as a junior and senior. During his time with the Beavers, Hafferty made 61 appearances, scored 2 goals and tallied 7 assists. 2021 MLS SuperDraft
The 2021 MLS SuperDraft was the 22nd edition of the SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is held every January prior to the start of the MLS season. The 2020 SuperDraft was the first held exclusively via conference call and web streaming. The Draft was once again held virtually, and began on January 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and consisted of three rounds (shortened from four rounds in prior years). 2023 Austin FC II Season
The 2023 Austin FC II season was the club's first season in MLS Next Pro, the third tier of soccer in the United States. They played in the league's Western Conference. The club finished the regular season 4th in the Western Conference and 8th overall in the regular season, qualifying for the MLSNP play-offs. In the four play-off games, Austin FC II only allowed one goal on their way to the MLS Next Pro Cup. Damian Las had a standout season, being selected to both the MLSNP Bext XI and the MLSNP Goalkeeper of the Year. Joe Hafferty was also selected to the MLSNP Bext XI for the 2023 season. The 2022 MLS Next Pro season is the inaugural season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It is the first season since 2014 where MLS had a standalone reserve league, the previous season being the MLS Reserve League. Including both MLS Next Pro and the MLS Reserve League, it is the ninth season of a reserve league operated by MLS. The league is sanctioned as a third division league by U.S. Soccer.
