Joe Brooks (singer)
Joe Brooks (born Joseph David Tancock; 18 May 1987) is an English singer and songwriter. Brooks started out as a Myspace musician when he was just 17 and quickly gained popularity on the site while releasing two independent EPs. By 2008 he was hyped and labelled as the "Number 1 Unsigned UK Artist" on MySpace and had amassed 11 million song plays. In 2009 he signed to Jason Flom's Lava Records and Universal Republic Records, where he released his first full-length and major label album, ''Constellation Me'', in 2010. Following his exit from Lava/Universal in 2011, he released a fan-funded independent EP, ''A Reason to Swim'', later that year. Early life Joe Brooks was born on 18 May 1987 in Southampton, England. ''If I Can Dream'' is a webseries that was created by Simon Fuller. The show was not renewed for a second season in 2011. Format The show followed performers who moved into a house in Hollywood, California. The house was wired with 56 AXIS cameras and the footage was broadcast live on the show's website. Each contestant was judged to excel in either one of the creative arts, sport or fashion and the premise of the show was to follow them as they attempted to succeed in their chosen field. As of December 2009, the house was fully prepared and on March 2, 2010, the cast moved in. The television aspect of the show was weekly 30-minute highlight shows airing first through Hulu then later through a traditional broadcast network. Clear Channel was to handle radio aspects and MySpace was the production's online partner. PepsiCo and Ford Motor Company signed on to sponsor the project. Journey South were an English singing duo, consisting of brothers Andy and Carl Pemberton. They are from Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. Initially the brothers lead a five piece rock band 'The Answer' featuring musicians from the North East of England.
