Joe Brandt
Joe Brandt (born Joseph Brandenburg, July 20, 1882 – February 22, 1939) was an American publicist, screenwriter, editor, film producer, and general manager. He co-founded Columbia Pictures with Harry and Jack Cohn. Biography Brandt was born as Joseph Bradenburg in Troy, New York, USA to Jewish parents, Daniel and Rosa Brandenburg. After obtaining a law degree from New York University and being admitted to the New York bar association in 1906, Brandt spent seven years working for Hampton's Advertising Agency. He later worked at ''The Player'' as manager of the New York office of ''Billboard''; and as the advertising manager of the '' Dramatic Mirror''. In 1912, he was hired to be a member of Carl Laemmle's executive staff at Independent Moving Pictures, a few months before it merged to become Universal Film Manufacturing Company. Lymphoma
Lymphoma is a group of blood and lymph tumors that develop from lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). The name typically refers to just the cancerous versions rather than all such tumours. Signs and symptoms may include enlarged lymph nodes, fever, drenching sweats, unintended weight loss, itching, and constantly feeling tired. The enlarged lymph nodes are usually painless. Follicular lymphoma (FL) is a cancer that involves certain types of white blood cells known as lymphocytes. This cancer is a form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and it originates from the uncontrolled division of specific types of B-cells ( centrocytes and centroblasts). These cells normally occupy the follicles (nodular swirls of various types of lymphocytes) in the germinal centers of lymphoid tissues such as lymph nodes. The cancerous cells in FL typically form follicular or follicle-like structures (see adjacent Figure) in the tissues they invade. These structures are usually the dominant histological feature of this cancer. In the US and Europe, this disease is the second most common form of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, exceeded only by diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
