Joe Barksdale
Joseph Brennen Barksdale (born January 4, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter, electric guitar player, and former professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Born in Detroit, Michigan, he attended Louisiana State University on a full-ride football scholarship. He was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2011 NFL draft. He played college football for the LSU Tigers. He also played for the St. Louis Rams, San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers, and Arizona Cardinals. A tackle is a playing position in American football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T), sometimes specified as left tackle (LT) or right tackle (RT), is a position on the offensive line that flanks the two guards. Like other offensive linemen, their objective is to block during each offensive play, physically preventing defenders from tackling or disrupting the offensive ball carrier with the intention of advancing the football downfield. In gridiron football, a sack occurs when the quarterback (or another offensive player acting as a passer) is tackle (football move), tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing a forward pass, when the quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage in the "passing pocket, pocket" and without clear intent, or when a passer runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage due to defensive pressure. Thomas Wilcher
Thomas Wilcher (born 11 April 1964) is a college football administrator for Michigan State University and former high school athletic coach and teacher as well as a former National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I track and field and college football athlete for the University of Michigan. He was the NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships national champion in the indoor 55 m hurdles and a three-time NCAA All-American in track and field (once indoor and twice outdoor). Wilcher was also a running back for the Michigan Wolverines football team from 1983–1986.
