Joe Agius (architect)
Joe Agius is an Australian architect and director of Cox Architecture since 2005. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including urban and master planning, education, sports, culture and research. He has worked across Australia and internationally. His projects include the Sir John Monash Centre, Australian Film, Television and Radio School, NeuRA Research Centre and The Darling. From 2013 to 2014 he was Chapter President of the Australian Institute of Architects, and is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects. Education and early years Agius completed a Bachelor of Architecture, graduating with first class honours from the University of New South Wales in 1992. He received the 'most outstanding graduate' AIA award. Cox Architecture
Philip Sutton Cox is an Australian architect. He is the founding partner of Cox Architecture, one of the largest architectural practices in Australia. His work has won him multiple awards, the first being in 1963, one year after graduating from the University of Sydney. Early years and education Philip Sutton Cox grew up in Killara on the North Shore (Sydney), North Shore in Sydney. Cox attended Gordon Public School and then the Sydney Church of England Grammar School (Shore) in North Sydney. In his first years at Shore, art was taught by John Lipscombe, who had helped plan the new art block which had been praised by the architect Harry Seidler, who had lectured in the building in July 1952. Cox decided at quite an early age that he wanted to be an architect, though this was not clear until it was nearly time to leave school. He won a Commonwealth scholarship which was to pay his fees. Rachel Neeson
Rachel Neeson is an Australian architect and lecturer in architecture. Her architecture practice is Neeson Murcutt Architects, which she formed with her partner Nick Murcutt in 2004. Early life and education Rachel Neeson studied architecture at the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning, and graduated with the University Medal in 1993. She was awarded the NSW Architects Registration Board's 2002 Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship, and completed a master's degree in architecture in Barcelona, Spain. Career Neeson formed the architecture practice Neeson Murcutt Architects with her partner Nick Murcutt in 2004. Murcutt died in 2011. Some of the practice's most notable projects have been the redesign of the Prince Alfred Pool and the Juanita Nielsen Community Centre, both in Sydney. The NSW Architecture Medallion is an award presented annually at the New South Wales Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects awards for a building project considered to be the most exemplary of the year, realising innovation and excellence in the built environment. The award is selected by the Jury Chairs from the named awards winners. It is not be confused with the ''NSW Architects Medallion'' awarded by the NSW Architecture Registration Board since 1924 to an outstanding recent Masters of Architecture graduate from a New South Wales university. Chicago Athenaeum
The Chicago Athenaeum is a private museum of architecture and design, based in Galena, Illinois. The museum focuses on the art of design in all areas of the discipline: architecture, industrial and product design, graphics, landscape architecture, and urban planning.
