Jody Schulz
Jody John Schulz (born August 17, 1960 in Easton, Maryland) is a former American football linebacker who played for five seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League from 1983–1987. He was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He played college football at Chowan JC and East Carolina. Early years Schulz attended Queen Anne's County High School in Centreville, Maryland. He played football, but his team was "terrible" and did not win many games. He did not try hard in school and dropped out for one year and thought about getting married until the woman he was going to marry was killed in a car crash. Schulz got arrested while out of school, and the judge at a court hearing told him to either go back to school, or go to jail. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). The 1991 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. Robert Lee Jones (born September 27, 1969) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Washington Redskins. He played college football at East Carolina University. Early life Jones attended Nottoway County High School. As a senior, he tallied 120 tackles and helped his team win the 2A state championship. In order to meet academic requirements for college, Jones studied one year at the Fork Union Military Academy post-graduate program. He accepted a football scholarship from East Carolina University and would become the most accomplished linebacker in its history. Blue–Gray Football Classic
The Blue–Gray Football Classic was an annual American college football all-star game held in Alabama, usually in late December and often on Christmas Day. The brainchild of Alabama college football legend Champ Pickens, the contest began in 1939 and was held annually through 2001, with the exception of 1943 due to World War II. All of the games, except for the final contest, were played at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, under the auspices of the Montgomery Lions Club. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Kent Island, Maryland
Kent Island is the largest island in the Chesapeake Bay and a historic place in Maryland. To the east, a narrow channel known as the Kent Narrows barely separates the island from the Delmarva Peninsula, and on the other side, the island is separated from Sandy Point, an area near Annapolis, by roughly four miles (6.4 km) of water. At only four miles wide, the main waterway of the bay is at its narrowest at this point and is spanned here by the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
