Joaquín Yarza
Joaquín Yarza Ormazábal, also known as Quincho Yarza (1881–1972), was a Spanish Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder for Real Madrid CF, Madrid FC. Along with his brother Manuel Yarza, Manuel, he was a member of the Real Madrid CF, Madrid FC side that won the Copa del Rey four times in a row, between 1905 and 1908, although Joaquín only participated in the first three, leaving the club in 1907 to join Real Vigo Sporting, Sporting de Vigo. Quincho helped Sporting reach their first-ever final in 1908 Copa del Rey Final, 1908, in which the Yarza brothers were rivals, as Manuel stayed at Madrid. Quincho was a versatile footballer, playing in Defender (association football), defense, Midfielder, midfield and Forward (association football), attack. Outside of football, he served in the Spanish Navy, reaching the rank of captain, and dedicated himself to the naval industry in Vigo, creating, among other companies, the shipyard Construcciones Navales Yarza. Club Ciclista de San Sebastián was a cycling club based in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain. In 1909 the football section won the Copa del Rey. A few months after this victory, the players who had won the tournament founded the club that would later become Real Sociedad. 1909 Copa Del Rey
The 1909 Copa del Rey was the 7th staging of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish football cup competition. The competition started on 4 April 1909, and concluded on 8 April 1909, with the final, held at the O'Donnell, in Madrid, in which Club Ciclista de San Sebastián lifted the trophy for the first time ever with a 3–1 victory over Español Madrid. The Basque goalscorers were George McGuinness, Charles Simmons and Miguel Sena. Club Ciclista de San Sebastián are the predecessors of Real Sociedad. After winning the cup trophy, on 7 September 1909 the players of Club Ciclista founded a new in club in San Sebastián, called Vasconia, later changing the name to Real Sociedad.
